Strange one for you guys. A clients tank had several jardini's of various types in his tank. Have been doing really well for some time (2 years). We were having a proble with the calcium not staying high enough (would not fork out for a calcium reactor). Tried a few different Ca products, only resulting in a very large usage of these products.

We tried the new Seachem (new in Aussie) dry calcium (reef advantage calcium). This stuff work very well. In fact I have just moved my 470gal tank and have started using this for the last two weeks and it has made a enhanced difference over my Ca-reactor (CO2 empty). It has slowed the growth of the coraline but a buffer fixed that ......

Anyways...So we got a good Ca level, but about a week later (he did buy some corals at the start of the week, unsure what) the jardini's were turning to mush all over the place. I took the corals out of his tank, fresh water flushed (at right ph and dkh T levels) them and set them up in High O2 environment. 2 are totaly dead, 4 with major damage, and 2 XXL ones are no-probs.

The tank is electronically monitored, and there was little change from the average parameters on the log for the whole month. Water change (15%) 9 days before the event.

I'm guessing parasidic infection. Does any1 have any Ideas??
