Before i go into detail of this disapering incident, here are some stats on my tank:

37 Gallon Tank
40 Pounds Of Live Rock

Inhabitants:

Maited Pair Of True Percula Clownfish
1 Firefish
1 Orange Spot Goby

10 Narrssarius Snails
7 Astrea Snails
5 Margarita Snails
1 Cleaner Shrimp
1 Emerald Crab

1 Branching Hammer Coral
1 Red Open Brain

Ok.. I added a six line wrasse yesterday. When i first added him he was swimming thru the rocks, i left the room for about an hour and i didn't see the wrasse anywhere, so i was thinking it might be shy, so come feeding time no sign of the wrasse???
Every other fish was accounted for but the wrasse, i looked in the tank this mornning and still no sign of him, i looked on the floor and arround the tank to see if he maybee jumped out but did not find anything.. i also noticed that one of my Margarita snail shells was empty, could this be the result of a mantis shrimp or some other thing killing my snail and fish? I dont think i have a mantis beacuse i have not heard any clicking noises, and every other fish is fine. This is so strange!! Maybee someone can help me find out how to tell if this fish is dead, or maybee he is still hidding somewhere ?

Thanks

Too hard to tell from your description - could be a lot of things - including the fish dying from stress behind the rocks somewhere and the scavengers taking care of the body.
