A little while ago my tank was plagued with recurrent episodes of RTN (Rapid Tissue Necrosis) in which my SPS (Small Polyp Stony) Corals would melt away completely (leaving only skeleton) in about 36-48 hours. I read some posts, did some internet searching to try to figure out why... tank parameters were "normal" (hold that thought)...

I read some articles about strontium deficiency being one of the MAJOR causes of RTN, so I decided to invest in some Supplement (I chose KentMarine's)

I added this, albeit in less quantity that the directions indicate, but have NOT HAD ANY MORE RTN PROBLEMS!!! -- Is Strontium our Panacea ("Cure-All") for RTN!?!?!

Anyone else had this kind of experience!?!?

I would guess to say that the strontium deficiency was the cause of your RTN, and by getting the level back up to NSW levels, it corrected your problem.

That's not to say that strontium deficency is the SOLE reason for RTN however............

EDIT: I know you probably know this already, but all good advice bears repeating, if your going to use supplements, test for what your adding before, during, and after use of it :D
