I am trying to get some ideas on hooking 4-6 of these up. Also, if they are inside in the basement, do you think there would be any problems with moisture and the wood rafters above? Ceiling is 8ft.

Thanks!

I use them and they are great. You can daisy chain them together but you will need to set them side by side and not end to end. The only flat part where you can put a bulkhead and connect them together is on the sides.

Look at the Bulkheads sold at Marine depot. I liked them the best out of all the bulkheads I bought.
Second, you will want to add some silicone glue to your gasket because the type of plastic these are made of is very hard to seal with out it. If you add the glue then you will have no problems. The glue will not be perminant.

The bulkhead at the bottom needs to be replaced IMO because it is of poor quality. It will require a 1 to 1.25 inch bulkhead depending on brand. I used 1 inch bulkheads from a different company and they fit perfect.

As far as the humidity, it depends. If you have good ventilation then it will not be a problem. If the room is warm and there is poor ventilation then you will have a large humidity problem. Plan for ventilation and your set.

I have one in the basement. I have to run a dehumidifier pretty heavily at different times of the year. It's okay it the winter and in the heat of the summer when the heat or the a/c is pulling most of the moisture out of the air. But in the spring or fall things can mold pretty fast down there if I"m not careful.

Jeff- Are you replacing the bottom bulkhead because you want to use it, or because you are afraid it will leak?
