What is everyone's ORP level if you have a monitoring device such as the aquacontroller.

Just trying to see why my ORP level isn't rising as much as when i first setup my Ozone generator.

High 300's with 40W UV and no ozone, drops to 290's when the chiller kicks in after approximately 20 hours of 0 water movement thru the chiller.

Thanks Cali. I read all the articles. I just wanted to compare readings. When i first setup my reactor, the controller used to shut it off since it was getting so high. Now it stays around the mid to high 200's sometimes a little over 300. But nowhere near what it used to be. I wonder if my unit is not as effecient as before. RFH stated that he also had the same problems.

Use some 400mV calibration fluid to verify your ORP numbers.

I am not sure if the ACII have the manual adjustment for ORP, the ACIII and IIIP have a hidden ORP adjustment so you can adjust the ORP reading to the calibration fluid, instead of using the documented method.

Have you cleaned the Ozone? take it apart to see if the elements are filled with dust.

Cali, where can i get the solution? Yeah the ac2 has the calibration as well.

I opened up my unit, REDSEA, and there's nothing to clean. I will look again but where the ozone is generated just looked like a sealed capacitor.

This is not the recommended solution for calibration, you need to use Quinhydrone, pH 4.00 and pH 7.00 calibration solutions for the calibration per the user manual. Curt had email me a hidden procedure to use on the ACIIIP.

Yeah i had ordered the ph4 and 7 before but didn't know where to get the other component that's why i never calibrated mine. Maybe i'll try that solution and see what it comes up with. But that will have to wait until i order something else from there, I'm not paying for shipping more than what the product is worth, lol.

i also calibrate my orp with Quinhydrone, pH 4.00 and pH 7.00 about every two to three months. mine reading is 400 to 430.

Wow, Jorge came over and we calibrated the probe. The thing was off by like 100 points. So now it reads 330 during the day. I think i will eventually get a new probe when this one starts to read weird.
