Guys Im a total idiot sometimes!!! SO today my tank water levels were rising high again and after a year of trying to figure out the reason I finally realized that the stupid little plastic strainer is almost completely clogged!! Ive battled this problem for over a year trying to figure out what is wrong with my system and all this time its the simplest little thing that I completely over looked. I cant even tell you how many dumb things Ive done to try to fix this including replumbing the whole tank and remodeling my sump. STUPID STUPID STUPID ME after all that is a simple clog from dirt and sand and calcification.
Oh well I guess u live and learn:smash::smash::smash::smash:

OK, I'll be the one to say it, what plastic strainer and where is it on the overflow???? CPR overflows are always scary as far as loosing suction, I'd only use a lifereef.

The one right on the bottom of the compartment that goes into the pipe that leads to the sump. The one that comes with the sponge on it but no one ever uses the sponge. It was all encrusted in gunk and sand that became hard as cement.
