A couple of days ago I fragged my beautiful 8 inch Brown Torch Coral. I put the four frags into a plastic critter aquarium without the top and kept this in my system. I am going to bring these frags to my LFS this weekend.

Tonight I fed my fish. Apparently, my Scopas Tang saw a morsel of food that went int the open container where the frags are located. Once he got in there, he could not figure out how to get out. Needless to say, the Torch Corals stung the you-know-what out of the tang.

I was able to get him out of the container, but he now has white patches all over him - I assume these are flesh wounds caused by the Torch (es).

I have a 92 gallon tank. Should I just let nature take it's course, or is there some type of reef-safe additive I can put in the tank to help him?

Thank you for your suggestions.

Do the white patches look like discoloration? or actual dead tissue?

I have a very large sailfin tang and some times he scuffs his fat body up against the rocks or corals (because I think he is to big for my 155g).
These scrapes always show as either light or dark marks, and they go away in a day or two, I think the scuffs mess with just the top layer of skin and it shows in his coloration.. If it looks like just the color of his skin is white in those patches, and not actually dying tissue, I would leave him in the main tank and just keep an eye on it.

If they are deeper injuries, I would say that you may want to go ahead and treat with something that will prevent infection. I have never had the misfortune of having my fish get any serious injuries, so I have no idea what you would use. Hopefully someone who knows more about fish medication can chime in.

I just realized you're from Georgia! Welcome to the board. (Excuse the sarcasm in my previous post). I'd just let nature take it's course, be sure to keep the water clean, and it should clear up just fine.
