Re-plumbing my tank (original pump just didn't provide enough flow) and using flex PVC. Upon gluing some of the PVC parts together, some of the glue seeped out such that it will be exposed to my tank's water.

Is this something I should be worried about? I know PVC glue actually dissolves the plastic so I know its nasty stuff. At the same time however, once its dry, isn't it dry forever?

Definitely learning as I go here. Its also my first post so please go easy on me. :D Just discovered this place a few days ago and have really enjoyed it so far.

No. Just rinse well with water before use to ensure any residues are taken care of. The glue itself, no matter what you do, would be in constant contact with water anyway, thats what forms part of the seal. If you can break off the glop without harming the seal's integrity, by all means do.

BTW, welcome to our insanity. Recommend not venturing into the sump, bad things happen there!

Basically, PVC glue and primer are of no danger whatsoever to your tank or its inhabitants. Rinsed, unrinsed, whatever. Harmless.
