Cycling a 2.5g

Been a while since I cycled a tank... Any short-cuts for cycling this 2.5g reef?

I'd like to add LR, dead (sand seeded with a half sup or so from my 29g) and caulerpa all in one shot.... Will this work?

Seeding the tank as you suggest should speed up the cycle considerably... but there's nothing I know of that will eliminate it entirely. You should still feed it with ammonia or dead shrimp or something and wait for it to cycle.

Hey there! I was wondering about your LR, I noticed you had posted something saying dead... if you use seeded LS and live, already used/cycled LR, then there wont be any need for cycling unless your are adding a fish right off the bat. I have never cycled any of my reefs, but then again mine are coral only and will not have much of a bioload anyway. Also, I used LS/LR from a dealers tank because I didnt need much, their LR and LS was already cycled.
