I have some anthelia (waving hand coral) in my tank that is starting to grow like seaweed. I would like to cut it down some but I think I remember reading somewhere that if you cut these that it will just cause them to spread thoughout the tank. It is starting to cover my brain coral so I was hoping it would be ok to trim it down safely. Let me know what you think. Thanks

I pulled tons of it out of my tank. Never had any problems with it spreading. Go for it.

I cut mine in the tank a few times, big mistake. It got established practically everywhere. Can you take the rock it is on out of the tank and peel it off? If you're stuck with it in your tank, try to peel it up with tweezers on a loose edge without cutting the polyps, be ready with a turkey baster or siphon to get the loose pieces.
