Im sorry I dont have a picture but i was wondering if someone could help me identify a live rock traveler I have been watching in my tank.

It is a small orange and brown invert that is realatively stationary. It has a head and mouth parts which cast out a 'net' which is white and looks like a spider web it then drags the 'net' back in a few times durring the day. About 5 minutes after the 'net' is completely pulled in it spits particulates back into the water and then recasts its trap. It has grown a great deal maybe tripled in size. It is about 3/4 of an inch.

I was wondering if anyone knows what it might be and if it is safe to keep. It is ugly but very interesting to watch. Thanks in advance for any help.

If it has a tube for a body and has two "antennae" that pop out the end it is a vermetid snail. They send out mucus nets to trap food. They are a sign of good water quality and are completely harmless(actually beneficial).

But witout a better description or a photo I cannot say for sure.
