Hi I have a 110 gallonn tank with many corals, live rock, salfin tang, sohol tang, volitan lion, 2 perc. clowns, and a damsel. I also have 2 bio wheel filters with a prizm skimmer with 2 powerheads. my question is that I just added my Salfin tang to my tank,It was being bothered alot by my Sohol tang. It has been in the tank for 2 weeks and this morning I noticed some ich on it and that its eye was clowdy. All of my water perimeters are perfect!! Is this a result of too much stress on the fish? how do i cure before it spreds? please help Pat

Pat here are your best choices IMO. 1. Remove the sailfin to a quarantine/treatment tank if you can catch it. Treat it for parasites there. 2. Put your tank on a garlic based food. 3. Do nothing and hope for the best.

#3. is actually not as bad as it sounds. Sometimes I think the corals have anti-disease fighting properties that help to heal the fish. Perhaps the fish heal themselves if your conditions are right. #2 is probably just as easy and why not. my 2cents

Sohals have a rep for being mean, particularly with other tangs and particularly if they were established in the tank first. The added stress on the sailfin from the Sohal's bullying, in addition to being moved, can't be helping the new guy's disease resistance.

Is the Sohal still pestering the Sailfin, or have things eased up? If they can't learn to get along I would find new quarters for one of them. Good luck.
