Hello Reefers,

I set up a 20gal sump and i am having problems with microbubbles. I have looked at some designs but they are not the same size as mine. I want to see some 20gal designs so that i can apply any suggestions given.

I know that if my sump was bigger the bubbles would have more time to dissipate but in a 20gal its seems a tad difficult. I have a 75gal and that is the only size that fits. For those of you with small sumps like the 20gal tanks, what did you incorporate to get rid of the microbubbles?...Also how did you do your baffles system?...It appears to me that if i can do something about the bubbles coming in from the tank, that the bubbles will stop being returned. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

you can try adding a 90 degree PVC elbow to your bulkhead so it will suck water from the lowest point in the sump, will help a little but not eliminate all the bubbles.

might even add another baffle before the bulkhead outlet but with holes drilled into it to decrease turbulence.
