Does anybody know/ have experience trying to increase the input pressure to a r/o unit? I recently had to change to a different faucet and the pressure (and speed of pure water output) is about half what it was. Could I increase the input pressure to the unit (spectrapure) with a pressure rated pump?

yes you can increase the presure to the ro, get a booster pump the 8800 model and that should boost it up to 80 psi.

Before you spend a single dime, find out who the RO output is only half of what it used to. Do you have a pressure gauage? I assume you do, since you seem to blame the pressure... if not, check to make sure the prefilter is not clogged and need replacing.

It is easy for people to say get this and that without really know the need for it.

I agree with David,

Alot of times people jump to a conclusion without checking all the basic stuff first, like maintenance. I learned the hard way a few times
