well i started to do the pluming on the rear of the tank, and filled it with freshwater, and so far so good. the top pipe is 1'' 1/2 drain to the ampmaster 4700 for a closed loop, then below that is my chiller intake 1'' then below that is the return from the ampmaster , 4 1'' returns then you have the 2'' drain into the sump, you cant see them but for the sump return's i had 4 holes drilled in the top braceing of the tank 1'' each and ill have two iwaki 100 , one on each side for sump returns.

here's a slightly better pic of the front, excuse the air bubbles all over the front of the front but it's filled with freshwater for system check. there's 6 1'' bulheads 3 on each side and two 1'' 1/2 bulkheads with a center trapazoid over flow.

Hey Tony. Set up looking awesome. I also moved around a couple walls and a door to make my little 140 fit better and to increase access. After a couple years, I'm really glad I went through the grief. I guess my point being, if there is potential to design extra access, bite the bullet and do it. Big time benefits down the road, especially if your like me who spends more time behind the tank than in front of it.

Keep us posted on your progress...

This is probably a dumb question but I figure I'll never learn the answer if I don't ask LOL.

So, if your power goes out and the pump stops, is the tank going to drain all the way down to those return bulkheads?

It looks really nice, one day I will have a big in the wall like that! Hopefully!

i hope not mulberry lol, no it wount those bulkheads the two big one's on top are drains for the closed loop and the other ones are returns from the closed loop and chiller intake and return , so there pretty much sealed if you get my drift.
