Skimmer NOT skimming

I have a 35 hex with 15gal sump and a berlin terbo skimmer. And i just cant get it to skim. What am I doing wrong? I have had it running for 2 weeks now and nothing.... played with the air and the flow of the pump and nothing!!! Help please.

how old is your tank?

i have the aquac remora and have had no problems with it. maybe you should tweak the little screw in the skimmer that adjusts the spray? mine started skimming junk within the day i got it.

it also depends on what you guys have in the tank, maybe there's just not that much nasty stuff?

My tank was transfered from a 25gal to a 35gal 2 weeks ago... when I got the new skimmer. I moved all the live rock and other inhabitents to the new tank.

There is green crap growing all over the tank now... thats why I would think there is something to skim.

Last night I played with it some more and I got it to skim a little. But its not filling up the cup every other day like my other skimmer.

I think I am just going to wait a little longer and see if this thing breaks in... but its been 2 weeks

any ideas?
