recently I saw a few threads about number of tangs vs tank size I think that my tank might be over loaded with tangs and I'm asking myself if I should take out some of them. The fish in the tank are fine fat and growing well. I didnd lose any tang since I set up this tank except one achiles.
so could you help me determine whether I shuld take sum of them out before I'll have a problem or is it o.k to keep on with this load?

Honestly, your tank and its inhabitants are gorgeous. If they're fat, happy, growing, and THRIVING, I say you have nothing to worry about.

Hi Moty,
I LOVE overstocking my tank but i dont actually like putting tangs in small tanks. This just my opinion for me;
7" tang needs +75 (kole, totomini...)
9-10" tang needs +100 (yellow, purple, powder blue...)
1' tang needs +125 (hippo, sailfin...)
1' 5" tang needs +150 (naso, blonde naso...)
2' tang needs + 300-350 (unicorn, vlamingi...)

I dont like seeing tangs just swimming from one side to another, i like fish to swim in and out of rock work, think in your mind a 1" purple tang in a 500gal and a full grown yellow tang in a 75 gal, thats what i m saying. But in a 75 gal, when you will put a forexample a clown goby, it will be just like this purple tang example... Thats what i like, there can be 1000s of people who wont like my opinion and like big fish in their tanks, sure thats very normal

BTW Moty, your fox face is GORGEOUS. I m immediatly buy one if i can find

TAKE CARE

i say enjoy your underwater T.V. and leave it alone. just keep an eye on them when they get bigger,(older) then you could have a problem.

good luck,

IIRC, reading up through the link he provided, he's got these animals in a 330 gallon system. I believe that if there is going to be a problem, it's a long way off. And that's a big "if".

thanks all
seamaden you are corect the tank is 330g. all the tangs are 5" and more by now and so far without problems
ozadars if your tank is 65g than don't go with the foxface it's too big for the tank in my tank its almost 8".
I think i'll keep all the fish as long as thay thrive and if i'll have problems
than i'll take out some of them.
and once more thanks all. after reading the threads I became warried about overstocking

You are, with little doubt in my mind, one of the FEW who needs to worry about overstocking. Besides, your tank is GORGEOUS!
