I have a red open brain coral that has been doing great for a couple of months but last couple of days I noticed he looks all shriveled up, he is still out, but not as puffed out as usual. My other brain corals are doing fine, and he is not positioned toward any aggressive corals. He has his own place in the sand and he is next to my Derasa so I know he gets enough light. Water quality is always fine, the only recent addition to my tank in the past couple of months has been some macro algae to the refugium, but nothing else. I will post a picture later on this afternoon. Any ideas as to what would cause a brain coral to exhibit this behavior? Do they do this from time to time, or is this a cause for concern with this coral? I have leathers that will close up for a couple of days but open back up, but never with a brain. Thanks for the help :)

Hi, brain corals can do this from time to time, just make sure you dont see any tissue receding.
