The fun continues for me. I started treating what I thought was a really bad case of ich with hyposalinity. However, my fish were dying too quickly, so i put my remaining 4 into a medicine tank and am treating them with copper. Now the Yellow tang has red splotches appearing on him and is having very labored breathing. What the heck is that and what do i do?

Red streaks/blotches are very often bacterial infections. Bad water quality is the biggest culprit. Do a series of water changes using aged and aerated saltwater. Also, monitor your pH. Low pH can bring this around as well.
Try a large water change. If it doesn't improve, antibiotic treatment will be necessary.
Do you know what exactly you're treating for at this point?

Red blotches means simply that the tang is having a hard time... read read and read, and keep on reading...

If you can provide the following data and a photo it would be easier to diagnose:

1) pH
2) ammonia
3) nitrite
4) nitrate
5) calcium level
6) carbonate level (in dKh preferably)
7) copper levels (make sure you use the correct testkit for the brand of copper, total copper, or ionic copper)
8) total water flow in the treatment tank (add all pump flow rates together).

It is a good idea to know what you are medicating for before you medicate.
