Will any PH controller work with a Calcium reactor? And do you hook it up to the Powerhead supplying the water? Where is the best place to buy a PH controller?
A pH controller is used to measure the effluent (output) of the Ca reactor. Usually, people dial it to a pH of 6.7 to 7.0. Any pH controller should work with the CO2 regulator (you need a solenoid). They don't have anything to do with the supply water or powerhead.
You can use a ca rxtor without a controller and a solenoid. Many people only need to monitor the pH with a pH meter during initial stage of the setup, and run the rxtor 24/7 without monitoring after the setting is fine tuned.
