anyone here from florida? im considering moving down there but one of the things i want to do when i eventually own a home is to grow coral in my backyard. what im wondering is, would i be bound to any sorts of laws they have for aquaculturing down there?

i would be growing it on land in my backyard as sort of a home based business propagating hobbyist frags. would there be any laws or limitations?

Sure you could. Of course, you wouldn't be able to do it in a deed restricted community. There are plenty of areas where you could do it. Just make sure before you buy.

Scubadude built a dandy greenhouse in his backyard in Port Charlotte a few years ago. I understand he bought another property in Arcadia, so that he would have more room for more greenhouses.

Here is a thread showing his orginal greenhouse.

Yes, it is one with a Home Owners Association.

Port Charlotte is still there. You might be able to pick up some property pretty cheap right about now.
