It's been about a week now with the new guy in the tank and I'm getting a little concerned. He's just not eating, at least from what I can see. He was chased around the first day or so by my purple tang but now they co-exist - that is when he comes out in the open. For the most part he stays hidden in the rockwork. I also have a flame angel that is smaller than the lemon peel in the tank (90Gal) but they have not bothered each other in the least. Is this normal behavior? He appears OK, looks healthy but like I said he chooses not to participate at feeding time. I feed twice a day and mix in mysis shrimp, spirulina, Omega one and pellets (2 at each feeding). Anyone else out there with a lemon peel encounter this behavior? Thanks Bill

It's not a lemon peel specific behavior, and a week isn't that long really. If practical, rearrange the rocks. This will break up territories and minimize level the playing field a bit. It's normal for these fish to go a week or two without eating when dropped straight into a display tank.
I gather you didn't quarantine him? Part of the purpose of a quarantine tank is to get the new charge eating before introduction into the display, aside from disease issues that is.
