I have a 32g FOLR tank now. I'm setting up a 90g 3x2x2 tank soon. I have a 400w 14k bulb to lite it. Monday I'll have 150 pounds of LR and LS. The quetions are about circulation. I was thinking of putting to Maxi 1200's in the top outer corners or maybe a closed loop system, not sure how to setup. Putting one overflow with a Quit One 4000 for return on a SCWD wavemaker, the outlets will be on each side about halfway down in the middle. The overflow will go to a sump, through a plastic cabnet with polyfoam in the drawers.
I have a 20g refugium that will be above the tank. When time comes I'm planning to get a Madarin, a sailfin tang( I understand that he will get to big for the tank at some point), a blue tang, two ocellaris clowns which I already have but want to find them a host, a few green chromis, a anthias or maybe three. One male and two female like a purple queen or a orange lyretail. I'm noe 100% sure yet still need to do some reading on them. A green clown goby, one or two neon blue gobies. Maybe a possum wrasse but I don't want him if he is going to compete againest madarin. The wife wants a scopas tang but I don't think there is going tobe enough room for him to.
Are Anthias really hard to keep? Would it be ok to have one or should he have a female? I need some idea's on how to setup circulation and sump. Also need some hardy coral ideas. Been looking at open brain, hammer, bta's, torch, polyps but I want to find host for the clowns. Any help would be great.

Hey Billy,

I think you'll hear some strong recommendations against keeping any Tang in a 36" long tank. If you get all the fish on your list you're up around 15 fish,, I think that's pushing the traffic limit for a 90 myself.

Oscellaris are naturally hosted by carpet and Ritteri anemones, both difficult to keep even in a mature reef tank,,, though some Oscellaris will accept an LTA or Sebae, especially if they're wild-caught fish.

Someone with more knowledge than I can answer your plumbing questions but if you haven't bought a skimmer yet, I highly recommend the Euroreefs,, they're just awesome.

Good luck!
