ok i see tropic marin has a new or newer salt out for reef system's. i have been using io from the start 9 months ago. but was thinking of switching to the tropic marin. anyone use this or have used it ? if so what di you like about it ? did you do any water test after mixing it before putting it in tank to see where the level's were ? ty rick

I've been using TM for years- I absolutely love it.
TM pro reef (which i use in my reef tank) has a higher calcium content (around 440) but,
a slightly lower alk- i supp to make up for this deficiency.
IO is still a fine product- I just prefer the TMPR despite the extra cost.
I also like that in a pinch, if you need water, it can be used almost as soon as you mix it - without adverse effects!

I love this salt ,ive been using it for 2 years now with great success. desolve in a instant with no white film left on the bucket like IO and RC does. TMPC is a pricey thou ,at almost $75 bucket. But worth every penny
