Clear, monofilament netting?

I'm looking for a source for clear, monofilament, fishing-line type netting that has about 0.5" squares. I'm looking to create some tops for my tank with this netting, but I have had no luck locating anywhere that sells such a product. Any ideas?

I've tried eggcrate, which is blinding anywhere near the tank under 400w halides, and have tried this stuff called 'hardware cloth' which is 1/2" square chicken wire coated in green vinyl.

Wasn't there someone who wrote in to WWM who'd found something like this? Have you tried commercial fishing suppliers?

Try a pond or garden supply store. You might find predator/pest netting that will work.
