What size Bulkheads?

Hey everyone,
I just recieved an acrylic aquarium that is already drilled. It has 2 1.75 inch holes. Alot of sites i looked at said use 1" bulkheads, while others said use 1" bulkheads on holes drilled 1.5" wide.
Does anyone know which size i should be safe in using?
also the tank came with 2 1" holes for returns and i dont think that would be enough flow so i plan on sealing them up and using a design like this dudes http://www.x-factor.us/gallery/albu...turnForMainPump
what could i use to seal it off silicone and what else will work for the one inch holes? Btw the tank is 135 gallons.

Anyway, different bulkhead use different hole size even if they are of the same size... I know that is kind of confusing statement, so let me put it another way. Heavy duty bulkhead usually need a larger hole than regular duty bulkhead of the same size. 1" bulkhead for a 1.75" hole sounds about right, just make sure the hole is not bigger than the gasket.

You can enlarge the drilled hole for the return, insteaof of sealing them up. You should not use silicone on sealing on an acrylic tank.

A 1 3/4" hole fits a 1" Rainbow Lifegard/Pentair Aquatics and/or an All-Glass and/or Oceanic bulkhead.
