Psycho was not there to greet me yesteday and today he was MIA at feeding time. I knew something was up. I found him floating behind a powerhead. We held a brief ceremony and committed his remains to the great white commode.
Yes my oldest resident with a backbone - a purple psuedochromis passed away. I checked my records and he was between 5 and 6 years old. He had been showing a little age this past year and the past couple of months was looking old, I guess it was time. No idea what their lifespan is suppose to be but he was one tough fish. One the bright side that damn fish ate every pod that even dared to show it's face. They are great hunters. I don't know if I will get another but his color was great and he was hardy.
