Opinions on growth rate (pics)

Hi all. I just wanted your opinions on the growth rate of this monti.
Low growth rate, average growth rate or high growth rate.

id say high.. .. even weed like.. even for a monti, that frag grew about 6x its origional size in 4 months.

I have 2 montiporas that are growing close to that rate, a monti cap and another that looks simular to yours. I have some other branching and some encrusting monti's that are growing at much slower rates.
To me it looks like a high rate, definetely a healthy rate... keep doing whatever it is that you have been doing, it's working!

I don't have much experience with monti's, so your comments are very encouraging.
No, I don't use any carbon.

Pretty soon, you will need to tie down your canopy so that it won't get knock off by the monti when you are not around...

I have a 2 inch monti frag that I bought over 6 months ago that has grown maybe 1/4 inch in 6 months. I guess my tank is not doing to good.

Another quick question.
Could the fact that this frag came from a tank raised coral (supposedly) have anything to do with it's quick growth rate?
