Need Advise on a chiller

Its my first spring season in this new apt with my 55G and the tank is getting to hot.

I think I need a chiller. Please anyone recommend a cost effective one.

Maybe your area is too humid, but did you try to cool your tank off as much as possible with evaporative cooling?

I will turn on my chiller only if there is no alternative.

How? By opening up the canopy more? Or perhaps s few small fans in the canopy somehow? I don't know if that will be enough?
I've been seeing the water temp creep above 80!

Mine has been getting over 82 once in a while. I am afraid that I am definately going to need a chiller.

82 is not a problem,,, my tanks run 80-84 all year long.

Mine runs around 80 to 82

A single fan on my 55 gallon running will drop the temp about 3 degrees during the day, and at night it gets too cold.
