Need opinion. Tank stand ever so slightly unlevel

Actually, my stand's top deck is perfectly flat and level. It's the floor that is ever so slightly unlevel. There is a 1/16th inch slope. Should I bother shimming it, or let it be? My concerns if I shimmed is the weight on the bottom of the stand will rest entirely on the shims instead of the entire edge of the cabinents bottom. Is it worth it?

Can't you shim it all around?

If the top of the stand is not level, the pressure on the tank sides will not be evenly distributed. Can be an issue in earth quake or long term stability.

Try to shim the whole side from front to back on the side that needs it. That way the whole piece takes the weight and it is distrubted across the board

Try shimming the ends with change until you get it right.

I had/have the same problem. Stand was level but not the floor. I decided to put the stand on a board and shimmed the board. Worked well for me, but I only had to do a 29.

I'd buy a package or two of shims from HD and shim all the way around.

what about putting something under the one side of the stand that is too low to raise it up? like some sort of think felt or something

Shim it every 6" or so. Insert shim, mark, cut off excess, then put the shim in.

1/16" wont be big enoug to see with the naked eye (Unless you're looking for it.) If it bothers you, just put a rug in front of the tank.
