If that's what they are most species are harmless algae, diatom, cyano consumers. No need to get rid of them, if there's not enough food their numbers will decrease. They do tend to show up in multiples like that, one day nothing, next day 5 or 10.

Yup. Very few limpets are carnivorious, so I wouldn't worry. Still a good idea to observe the tank for potential problems, however unlikely.

I had 4 or 5 in my reef....until one night I caught one eating the polyps on a stylo. He was nice enuff to sacrifice his other "buddys" by this action. When they were small I had no problems with them, but when they got big that was a different story.

I would keep an eye on them.. Some species of limpets eat corals... Most just graze on algae... They do multiply like wild fire sometimes...
