Need Answer to G3 question (ASM)

Anyone have an ASM G3 skimmer? I need to know if the 11" base of the skimmer will fit inside of the purported 12" width on an all-glass 29 gallon tank...

I would figure, you would lose 1/2" from that 12" external size... leaving what should be enough space. Anyone know for certain?
