I have a Goldflake Angle that I have had in a reef tank for just over 6 months. The fish has been a great reef tank fish never bothering any other fish or coral. It has been eating well since I got it. I feed it frozen Butterfly & Angel, Myesis shrimp and Brine shrimp with omega 3 by San Fan Bay, Dry & Frozen Formula 1 & 2, small pieces of fresh shrimp & clam and dried sea weed. which it eats it all willingly two times a day. That said, the fish seems to be slowly wasting away. It keeps getting thinner and thinner. It reminds me of a Pinatis Batfish I once had that did the same thing.

Is this the same type of thing? There must be some type of food it needs that I am not giving it. Does anyone know what that is? This is a beautiful fish and I hate to see it waste away. Thanks for any help you can give.

An internal parasatic worm is a possibility, but I'd try a food that is heavy in sponges first. Goldflakes are primarily sponge and tunicate feeders, so it may not be getting enough of this in their diet. Ocean Nutrition makes a wide range of frozen foods, one of which is high in sponge content:

It probably wouldn't hurt to also soak your food in Selcon to enrich it.
