SEN900 pump

I've had my AquaC EV-240 for well over 3 years now, and I continue to be very happy with it. One thing that I'm less than happy about are the SEN900 pumps that I purchase to run the unit. I will soon be on my 3rd one. To be fair, I have never done any maintenance on the pump, but that will be changing with the next one. Does anyone else have experience with the SEN900, and, if so, has it been similar to mine?

I have not actually owned a Sen, but my experience has been similar with other submersibles over the years (Mags, Sedras, ORs, etc.). If I ignore them too much they seem to die prematurely.
