I'm thinking of adding one of these to my RO setup. I hate waste and quicker fill up of my pressurized tank would be handy at times.

Any problems with them (and solutions to those problems)

Is any one manufactures better than anothers... I've seen some bigg differences in price. Where should I but me one?

They works well with pressurized tank, but not for opened tank. It will work fine for you.

As for the price, the best thing to do is shop around. I think there is only one or two manufacturers, so pretty much the same where you get it from. The markup on these parts is pretty high, unless you know the source :). Mine don't want to deal with small order, so my suggestion is for you to look at the RDO sponsors and see if their price is competitive for you.

I might take a shot at Ebay. 50$ rather than 10O+ for a Spectrapure....which appears to have the same logo on the pump as the 50$ version.

Thanks

I think I can do better than that. Let me find out what is RDO's policy on Powerbuy, and see if I can put something together. Most people who want a perm. pump already have one, so it can be tough to get a dozen or so of people to get this to work.

How urgent do you need the perm. pump? May take me a week or two to find the price and get the admin to approve the PowerBuy. Then we need to get sufficient number of people to commit to buy it. Want me to go ahead and get a price quote?

Well, there is a person on eBay selling the permeate pump with clip for ~$36 (emco_plus). The price was increase to $40 for current auction.

I can't beat that price unless I get 160 people to order. Used to be 24 for a 10% discount, but they changed the pricing schedule.

Don't know how much is for the shipping from the eBayer, but if they don't charge you ridiculous handling fee and box fee, it should be a good deal. See if you can get him to sell it for $36 like the old auctions.

My cost will be $37.25 + tax (7.5% unless someone with a tax ID can buy it without tax). That is more than $40 you see in the auction.

Well thanks for trying. No one else has jumped on the thread so I would assume we're not generating enough buzz anyway :) Zzzz Permeate Pumps Zzzzzzz

I'll go the eBay route... hell I work for them - sort of - so I should be all over it.
