hey everyone i have a 120 gal reef i wanna get a new skimmer i feel that mine is just not pulling what i want it to .so im thinking of getting a new one right now i have an mtc skimmer ,i will need it to go into my sump does anyone have any suggestions on what type and brand to get ,and im not looking to spend to much on one ,thanks for the ideas

WHat does "don't want to spend a lot" mean? That means a different number to different people. I think the ATI BM 200 is perfect for a 120. The ATI BM 250 is too big for that tank but a Bubble Master 200 would fit perfectly. For the money you can't beat it in performance.

or a asm. just got a asm 3 for mine which is probably overkill but wont be once i upgrade again. easy to use and a killer skimmer, you can get them for under $300

What type of corals do you keep? Foe example I kept an ASM G3 on my 58 gallon but upgraded because it just wasn't enough skimmer for an sps tank that size.

ASM does make a good inexpensive skimmer but I would go MUCH larger than the G3 for that sized tank. It can also be modified inexpensively which will greatly increase the performance.
