i got two new lta today and while he was in the bucket aclimating he was floating around in the bucket. its like he cant sink to the bottom because i pushed him with my finger and he went back up to the surface. is there something wrong with it? at the store he looked healthy and everything no cuts on its "foot" and nice color to it. i bought two and the other one is on stuck on the bottom of the bucket. is this normal behavior? will it eventually sink to the bottom again?

It may have injested some air during the transfer. It will take some time for the LTA to expell it.

Yes to both questions. Anemones will move by floating or crawling and will go where they want to go not where you want them to go. Keep your hands out of the bucket or tank and let them do their thing.
Out of curiosity, did you do research on these animals beforehand?

I don't know why it is floating. That does not sound good though.

When you put it in the tank, try and bury the foot in the sand bed and give him a chance to grab the bottom of the tank. My LTA prefers to have foot in sand and the foot grabbing either a rock well under the sand or the tank bottom. The few times I have had to relocate him, I dug a hole in the sandbed where I wanted him to be, put his foot in there as best I could, and cut the current back just enough to keep him from blowing away. Overnight he pushes down and grabs the tank bottom.

Once he is situated, offer it a *small* meal. My LTA prefers small silversides or slivers of raw salmon. It always seems to me that transporting an anemone would be exhausting to them, so I want them to have some food as soon as they are settled in.
