scifi_3d_zoo, do you just add some of your brine to the tank as soon as you get it home and hang on to the rest in another container or do you just put them all in?

hi guys. i bought some pods today at the LFS. it was only $19 for a bottle. so im gonna try putting them in tonight. is it ok to dump the water from the bottle into my tank? i dont know how else i would get the pods out with out the water

I usually do a real simple acclimation procedure: dump them in a bowl and add small amounts of tank water for 15 minutes. Then dump 'em in.

put them in after dark, and make sure the tank pumps and skimmer are off for about 1/2 hour while they get settled and find a hiding spot...
