I'm thinking of picking up a 60g cube that is eurobraced. Question is this though; Won't eurobracing take any HOT skimmers out of the picture?

Hmm...

So it looks like I need to step up and go with a sump of some sort. What size bulkhead whould you guys recommend for a 60 cube? best to just go with 2 inch?

Search the DIY page, there are a few posts on flow through bulkheads. But at a guess I would say a 1.5 good. My 220 has two 1.5 and it handles the flow easily.

You beat it does. I am of the school that all that goes through the sump is what the filters can process. If your skimmer is 500 gph so is the flow through the sump. All other flow is via closed loops.

NKT has the MCE600. I can ask him to chime in. From the looks of it though, I don't think it is possible.

For a 60 gallon cube (if you are buying new), I'd personally just get thicker glass like 1/2" and not have any bracing at all. Or perhaps some corner braces.

Yeah, the Deltec MCE600 come with a long extension to use on a Euro-braced aquarium. I cut the extended pipe off since I was using it on a traditional aquarium.
