I have a 220 with lots of braceing on the top. About 1 ft on each side is bracing, kind of like euro bracing on crack. My question is if I drill where the black tape is a hole for a 1/2" pipe to go through will it ruin the brace? I plan to do this on both sides.

I don't think that would result in any problems so long as you aren't putting any weight on that section.

Cutting holes in sloping, curved, or otherwise non-linear glass is REALLY hard tho! You'll probably have to do it by hand using a roto-tool or dremel with a diamond bit on it. I would definitely not try to use a typical hole saw for the job.

It's not, the glass is flat. Maybe not the pic tho
Or are you refering to the fact that there is a curve cut into the glass at the top?

Ah, could be the view in the pic, it looks like its sagged a bit. If its perfectly flat, then a press and hole saw would be just fine.

Talked to the tank maker(glasscages) He siad I'll be fine, so.... :D

Also talked to the wife and She is letting me have my next two days off to work down in the fishroom :D :D

Hopefully that will be enough time to get this 220 up and running 8O
