Blue Linkia: How's yours doing?

Everytime I buy something I think is perfect, I find at least one source that says NO. [Marine Inverts by Shimek]


So how long should I expect my new blue Linkia in perfect health to live?

He's got plenty of algae--for now.

How about this, if he lives in my tank a year in a half, and that's at best, slowly starving. How long to they live in the wild?

Orange Linkia's are supposedly hardier.

I tried an orange and it did not last long.

I've had mine for a couple of months. Probably wasn't a good idea since the tank was only a month old at the time, but I drip acclimated him for an hour and a half. Doing great so far. I tested to see how he was doing last week and flipped him over. He righted himself in two minutes

Fell off the cleaning magnet when I went to wipe the tank today. Been laying on it's back now for ~1/2 hour and hasn't moved, plus looks like the "blue" is sluffing off the tip of one leg.

Think it's done. RIP after 23 months.

Perhaps it's time to change your methodology, research thoroughly first, purchase second.

I've have a blue and he is going on at least a year plus.
