i got lazy and didnt scrape the coralline off of my acrylic overflow box for a long time. i now have a lot of coralline i want to scrape off. any tips that make it easier and not scratch the acrylic too much?

I found a good 1/4" thick piece of acrylic with a VERY straight cut along it works wonders.

Actually, using another piece of acrylic maybe a bit dangerous... I would use something softer.

I like a switch plate or a algae pad on a stick like you can buy at the LFS. :D

Yeah, just remove it, and use vinegar. In fact, I used to have a jig that circulate diluted vinegar solution thru one with minimum amount of solution (I usually only clean the overflow tubes). After a few times, I just try to drill my tank instead of dealing iwth it any more, esp. those CPR overflow box that have an integrated siphon "tube".
