Little Giant 3-MDQX-SC - excellent condition - $100
Iwaki WMD 20RLT - excellent condition - $75
Gen-x 6000 - excellent condition - $50

I need a bigger pump for my return. I am currently running a mag 9.5. Any experience with these, good bad or otherwise? TIA.

They're all very different from a gph and application perspective. The Little Giant you list is a circulation pump. The Iwaki won't output much but is pressure rated. The GenX is a submersible pump that can be used inline too (like Mag pumps). It appears to me GenX submersibles are rebranded Sen pumps.

I've had various Little Giants and Iwakis but only the have used the oroginal GenX (aka Mak4). I prefer Iwaki because they require virtually no maintanence unlike Little Giants (ones I had were oiled yearly, but it might have been an older design). Iwakis were also quieter then the GenX. But the 6000 is an entirely different pump. If it is a rebarnded Sen, it's a solid pump but not close to as reliable as true in-line external pumps.

All that said, none of these are much more powerful then your Mag 9.5. The Iwaki will actually be less powerful.

Thank you very much for the imput len. I really appreciate the help. What is the difference in being a pressure rated pump vs a non pressure rated? Not quite sure what the difference in applications would be. What would you recommend for a bigger pump for the system I have. My plumbing is a disaster since this is my first plumbing experience. I will try to draw a diagram for you to show you how bad it is lol. Thanks again len.

Here is the diagram. It isn't nearly this neat in reality. But it gives you a general idea of what the plumbing is like. Not sure how to make it any better though. Very cramped spaes to work with.
