I use it. It works reliably good. Remember to clean it once in a while though.

Thanks.

If it were to get stuck (say from lack of cleaning), it'd more likely get stuck in the off position, right?

I had one, it failed with the obvious bad consequences after about 5 months use, i presume it is now landfill somewhere

i now use the Reef Fanatic Level controller with dual float switches and have had no problems in almost 2 years

Thanks, do you mean it overfilled your tank?

It can be stuck in the on or off position depending on how you have it set up.

I use mine to control a Litermeter. If my tank does not need topoff then the litremeter is shut off, if it needs it it allows power to the litremeter.

My litre meter is programmed to pump 1-1.5G of water a day so even if my float switch gets stuck ON it can only add a little bit more than needed.

Before the Kalk reactor I used to use it to switch on a powerhead for topoff. I also had a timer that ran for 1 minute twice a day. The pump was a minijet600 that pumped ~1-1.5 gallons over the 2 miuntes. Similar outcome from my new setup.
