What type of Coral is refered to as a 'Monster'. Is it just applied to anything anyone fancies or does it mean something... seems to be a label for Acros but I'm at a loss to see what is monsterous about any of them that I have seen?

There is a "purple monster" acro that is well known around collector circles. It's a very purple coral that branches out sort of like a short pine tree.

I miss mine. The frag I have growing now is slow going and isn't as purple yet. The old colony actually grew moderately fast. Sanjay killed it. Well, not really, but he came for a visit, and the next day, the colony RTNed!
