This bugger is on a small colony of zoanthids, and it may be killing them.

It's unique to me in that it doesn't have any tentacles. Instead, the head has a grouping of small ball shaped nubs. If you look closely, you can see these little spheres.

If it's a hydroid, can I kill it in a FW dip?

Thanks

Forgot to mention, that there are two of these. The one in the picture is the larger (mother?) at about 3-4mm across.

Thanks Chuck.

The picture isn't great, but I'm afraid that's as good as I can egt it without a better camera.

I did a freshwater dip on this rock and tried to scrape the mystery thing off. The next day three smaller ones reappeared.
They are still killing the zoanthids, too.

Any ideas as to what it is or how to get rid of it?

Many Thanks===
