I have (2) blue hippos and yellow in the same tank for about 8 mos. Sucessfully. I would not put 2 of the same color/genus in the same tank. They will tend to fight.

large tanks, absolutely

small tanks, not a chance.. then of course you shouldn't be keeping these fish in a small tank :)

I kept added a Naso to my 135 some years back when I still had it, and my Kole decided to boss it around even though it was half the size, but that only occured for a few days. Then again these were not zebrasoma species.

im attempting to house 1 purple tang :twisted: and 1 desjardinii in a 210
purple is bullying the des around a bit but i got my eye on em,they r both zebrasoma

So they're okay so far? The tank is plenty big and I expect the purple will settle down in a couple weeks.

ya so far the purple seems to be getting used to the desjar ,at least he isnt attacking him when he sees him anymore he took a few nips out of the new guys fin but now he seems to have stopped biting him more just threats now,allthough he still chases the new guy when he gets to cols to the purples hideout or trie to get some food the purple spotted. i got a seperate tank rdy incase i need to seperate the two ,hopefull it wont come to that
