Last weekend I moved my reef tank from my basement to my main floor living room. Everything went well and all seem to be doing well except my fiji leather hasn't opened back up yet.

I know they are sensitive creatures; my only concern is that in the basement my tank was a CONSTANT temp of 77-78

Now in my living room the temp is fairly constant, but 80-80.5; is this temp too high? I use pc lighting, would a fan cool the water at all?

I'm hoping this isn't going to be an issue; but so far the only thing that hasn't really sprung back is the yellow leather. It did incredibly well in my basement.

Any advice?

Temp should be fine. I've seen leather corals grow in very warm waters in the wild and in captivity. It probably just needs some more time to acclimate. You may have to wait as long as a few months 8O

That said, a fan will cool the water a few degrees. I've found lower temps = happier inverts and fish.

Thanks for the responses. It still hasn't opened up and is still the only one not opened yet; keeping my fingers crossed
