Hi everyone... :)

I have set up a ten gallon nano the other day. As I await my live rock I put in a couple of pieces of large rubble just to have something more than saltwater in the tank.

Yesterday I stuck my hand in the tank to move a powerhead. There was a clear/white slime all over the cord. I have never seen that before!

The only thing I can think of is that the two pieces of medium sized LR rubble has some sponge material on them and perhaps this slime is a result of sponge die off.

???

Weird...

Thanks.

:welcome:

This is common and can be caused by many things, such as bacteria or protozoan. It's nothing to be concerned about :)
