My pair of Randall's shrimp are in a 45 gallon bowfront aquarium with a Randall's Pistol Shrimp, a horseshoe crab (~ 3in), and a female Red Fin Fairy Wrasse. There is no protein skimmer. There is about 50 lb of live rock with some nuisance growth of sawtooth caleurpa & red slime algae. There is a H.O.T. magnum power filter without media for water circulation (it's what I had handy at the time). The temp is maintained at 78 and the SG at 1.026.

Every few weeks the pair spawns & I then have hundreds of baby gobies for about a day. I am thinking of trying to rear some of the fry in the near future. I know the wrasse would have to be removed.

Any advice out there on feeding, filtration, water circulation etc????

Thanks,
Candy

check with the folks over here: http://www.marinebreeder.org/

Also, you might want to get the book "The Complete Illustrated Breeder's Guide to Marine Aquarium Fishes" by Matthew Wittenrich. This has a lot of general information and a section on gobies. I don't think there's anything specific to shrimp gobies, but larva rearing is probably similar. Someone at MOFIB (marinebreeder.org) may have already attempted this, too.
